At The Crossroads, staff, therapist and team helped save my life when I was 18 coming out from wilderness therapy. I had to put in the work and want change, and they were there to help in every way. I repaired the relationships with my family, and worked on improving myself from rock bottom. 2 years later I ended up working there as a staff while finishing undergrad, where I found my passion, and decided I would be a therapist. I am now currently in my last semester of my MSW program back in New York City. So many people there were so helpful, and I still visit when I am there, feels like a second family. Special shout out to Mike Hench who was both my therapist, and then my boss.

Big shoutout to Mike, he steered my life towards a better course when I was going through a tough time as a teen! All the staff are very nice and cool people who emphasize going outside, playing basketball, biking and other fun stuff.

Was a client 10+ years ago and still go and see the office employees, nurse and therapists on a regular basis. This program really helped me transition from highschool to independent living

I showed up to ATC as a broken young man with no direction. I was extremely stubborn and did whatever I pleased which ultimately led me to getting kicked out of the house for a brief period of time. I can only speak for the staff that was there during my time at ATC but I believe now after reflecting on my experience there after several years the staff did the best they could. Anyone who works in this industry I believe has a genuine love for helping young people figure out what they need to do to be successful. If you don’t have the desire within yourself to accept why you’re there or what you need to do to be in better place you’re wasting your time and whoever is paying for its money. Which I was very good at for the majority of time I was there. I found purpose at ATC which led me to join the Military and become an Army Ranger. I truly believe that if I never went to Wildenress therapy and more importantly spent almost a year at ATC I would not be in the position I am today. I have a great deal of Respect for Mike Hench who was my therapist and went out of his way to help me and do things with the guys in the house. At the end of the day if you show up to ATC you have to put in the work or you can fight and fight and fight and end up wasting more time and maybe even sleep in a tent.
