What We Do at At The Crossroads

A young adult program in St. George, Utah where clinical care, education, and life skills are woven into everyday life.

One Program, Working Together. Not a List of Appointments

Most programs hand a young adult a schedule of disconnected sessions. Ours works differently. Therapy, coaching, coursework, and household responsibility happen inside the same structured home environment, so progress made in a therapy room shows up in how a resident manages a budget, holds a job, or handles a conflict the same afternoon.

Every resident follows a personalized plan and earns increasing independence as they demonstrate the skills to use it. Below is each part of the program, with a link to the full detail page for the areas you want to explore.

How It Fits Together

Three Integrated Pillars, Running at Once

No single service creates independence on its own. Our model runs three integrated pillars at the same time, so change in one area reinforces the others. Most residents benefit from 6 to 18 months of structured support.

01

Supervised Residential Living

Residents live in structured ATC housing in St. George, a real home, not a facility. Daily routines, cooking, budgeting, and household responsibilities are embedded in the day, with consistent staff support and a steady, graduated expectation of accountability.

02

Clinical & Therapeutic Support

Licensed clinicians deliver individual, group, and family therapy, and coordinate directly with residential staff so treatment progress shows up in daily decisions rather than staying in the therapy room.

03

Skill Building & Vocational Readiness

Residents develop financial literacy, employment readiness, and practical living skills, applying them in real work and academic settings through partnerships like Utah Tech University while still supported by ATC’s structure.

Who It’s For

Who Our Program Is For

Our program fits when a young adult needs more structure than an outpatient therapist can provide, but does not require the intensity of an acute residential treatment center. Families usually describe one or more of these situations:

  • Their son or daughter completed a wilderness or residential program but cannot sustain progress in an unstructured home.
  • The young adult is stuck, not working, not in school, not moving forward.
  • Anxiety, depression, or emotional dysregulation makes it hard to hold a job or manage daily life without intensive parental involvement.
  • The family dynamic has become unsustainable and a neutral, structured environment is needed to reset relationships.
  • The young adult wants to change but lacks the accountability and real-world opportunities to do it alone.

At The Crossroads serves males and females ages 18 to 26. The majority of our families come from out of state, where healthy geographic separation supports growth.
