At The Crossroads

About At The Crossroads

Every young adult who comes to At The Crossroads has a story that is more complicated than “won’t get off the couch,” or “failed college.” We built this program for the ones who got called stuck, unmotivated, or behind, when what they actually needed was real clinical support, real structure, and a team of people who believed they could do hard things.

The people behind the program

Meet the Program Team

A program is only as strong as the people inside it. The team at At The Crossroads is made up of clinicians, educators, medical providers, and mentors who chose this work on purpose. Press play to meet the people your young adult will actually work with, in their own words.

Meet the full team behind every step forward.

From leadership and clinical care to the people who share each day with students, every role matters. Get to know the complete ATC team.

Our purpose

Why We Do This Work

There is an easy story people tell about young adults who are struggling to move into independence. That they are lazy. That they are entitled. That they just need to be pushed out the door. We do not believe that story, and we have watched it do real damage.

“Failure to launch” is a phrase that hides more than it explains. Underneath it we usually find anxiety that makes an ordinary week feel impossible, depression that drains the fuel out of every plan, an autism spectrum profile no one fully understood, executive functioning that never quite came online, or attachment wounds that make trust and risk feel dangerous. These are not character flaws. They are real obstacles, and they deserve to be treated as real.

At The Crossroads exists for the space in between. A young adult who needs more than an outpatient therapist can offer, but who does not need the intensity of an acute residential center, has almost nowhere to go. That gap is where families get stuck, and it is exactly where we do our best work.

We do not see failure. We see a young adult who has not yet been given the right conditions to grow.

We are here because we believe these young men and women are capable. Not capable someday, if they finally decide to try, but capable now, with the right structure around them and people who refuse to write them off. That conviction is the reason At The Crossroads was started, and it is still the reason every person on our team shows up.

How it works

What the Belief Looks Like in Practice

Believing in a young adult is not a feeling, it is a set of daily choices. It looks like clinical therapy that treats the real diagnosis instead of the label. It looks like life skills practiced in a real kitchen and a real budget, not a worksheet. It looks like education and vocational steps that match where someone actually is, outdoor experiences that rebuild confidence through effort, and an independent living track that hands responsibility back one piece at a time. Every part of the program rests on the same conviction: capability grows when structure and belief show up together.

For families

If Your Family Feels Stuck, You Are Not Alone

Most parents reach us after a long stretch of trying everything. You are not failing, and neither is your child. Because family dynamics and boundaries shape so much of a young adult’s growth, we work with the whole system, coaching parents alongside the clinical work we do with your son or daughter. You do not have to have it figured out before you call.
